Success Story #1: Harriet Goodwin
At age 86, Harriet works out three times per week with personal trainer Kate Soule and comes in to use the pool on her own. Harriet's "Surf & Turf Workout" involves working out in the gym and in our therapy pool. 121fit is the area's only facility equipped with a state-of-the art therapy pool designed specifically for people who experience pain, enabling them to exercise pain free. Since beginning her workouts with Kate, Harriet has lost a total of 26 inches and 18 pounds all the while inspiring us all with her can-do spirit and enthusiasm.

Success Story #2: Marie Walsh
Marie Walsh came to her first bootcamp in May 2008. It was a beginner class that met once each week. This class included components of exercise, nutrition, and goal setting. At that time, Marie set a long term goal to lose 50 pounds in one year. With her self motivation, positive attitude, and ability to incorporate what was being taught in class into her life beyond the gym. She is only 6 pounds away from meeting her 50 lb goal! Marie has made small manageable steps over the course of the year with both her diet and exercise program that fit into her lifestyle. She has more energy, and she is physically and mentally stronger. Marie is an inspiration to me as well as her peers in class due to her determination, smile and positive attitude.

Success Story #3: Robyn Powell

121Fit is a beautiful new facility. It's clean and well equipped but the people are what make the place. They are supportive, friendly and helpful. They make me smile! They are a big part of why I never dread going to the gym. I don't feel out of place or uncomfortable like I thought I might.
I needed to lose weight and I decided the time had come to join a gym and get some help. I got lucky with timing since the new 121Fit was just getting ready to open. Starting workouts with Erik as my personal trainer in the private pool setting was just what I needed. It was easy on the joints and I love water! Soon my training sessions were 1/2 in the pool, 1/2 out. As I got stronger and lost weight I spent less time in the pool during training sessions and did more weight and cardio training on land.
Now my personal training sessions with Ann are 1 hour of pure weight training and cardio. The pool has become a workout "treat" that I look forward to often.
I have lost weight, inches, and medications and gained health, strength and confidence. I couldn't have done what I have done so far without the help and support of the 121 team and they will continue to be a big part of my journey.
Did you know that most restaurants serve 2-4 times the recommended serving size? This is fine for lettuce and tomato – but what about the rest? You can easily add 100-400 calories per meal eaten out if you finish everything on your plate. Let’s start saying “Down-size me!” instead of “Super -size me.”
